It’s no secret that my very favorite go-to sweater pattern is The Wonderful Wallaby. I think this is the fifth or so that I’ve knit. I used to teach a class on knitting this sweater too, so I feel like I know it inside and out. The best part? NO SEAMS.
This one is for Benny. He’s outgrown his first one, so it was time he got a new one. I’ve knit most of the body already — next is the sleeves and hood. I just love how fast this pattern goes!

What’s on YOUR needles this week?
(Knitting, crochet, needlepoint, sewing, or otherwise…)

I guess I’m on a major kick right now. Socks, socks socks.

Same as before, Knit Picks Felici yarn (in “Afternoon”), toe up using Judy’s Magic Cast On, 64 stitches around, with a short row heel. I went down to size 0 needles because I found that the previous pairs I made with this yarn (which were knitted on US 1.5 needles) were kind of saggy and too loose. I’m hoping these will fit better.
What’s on your needles this Sunday?

Sigh. The weekend is coming to a close.
I’ve still been working on my stripey socks. I’m kind of on a “kick” with plain socks with self-striping yarn lately.
At least I’m using up some of the Knit Picks Felici yarn that’s in my stash!

What are you stitchin’ this Sunday?

I’ve been back to knitting sock lately. Knit Picks recently brought back several of their old colors in Felici self-striping yarn, and I’m obsessed.

I finished the pair pictured above last night. The color above is called “Time Traveller”, which is a reference to Doctor Who’s scarf – gotta love that! (I’m a big Doctor Who fan. Are you?)
When I finished the pair above, I started another pair …

The color of this pair is called “Moonlit”. I love the gradual color gradient of purples and blues, and then the bright green and teal thrown in for contrast. I think they’re going to turn out lovely.
