Today was a very busy day. I wrapped up about 95% of the development on a client site, answered a bunch of emails, and worked on a few personal projects.
I also set up my spinning wheel, which I’m hoping to have time to use again very soon.

My wheel is an Ashford Kiwi. I purchased it unfinished from The Woolery and stained it myself.
Here it is in action, the last time I used it (before I moved and it got put into storage) …
I have a feeling it’s going to take a while re-learning to get back up to that speed again!

What’s Thanksgiving without a hand-print turkey hanging on the fridge?

Ben and I made this one the other day. Actually, we made several because he was pretty impressed after I showed him how it was done. (I love that about kids — everything old is new again in their eyes!)
Anyhoo … Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day surrounded by the people you love … and that you’re recovering from your turkey-induced coma.

I was actually having a good-bangs day today, despite the fact that I’m desperately in need of a trim.
(Let’s not even get started about how badly my eyebrows need waxed … thank goodness the overgrown bangs are hiding the brows. It works.)
I’ve been thinking about dying my hair. I haven’t done so in quite a while, but I’m finding out my natural mousey-brown starts to look a bit gray these days. (It’s not technically gray, but it’s so dull that it looks a bit like it.)
But what color? I’d love to be able to do bright crayon-box colors like Elycia or Kaylah (my hair-heroes!), but something tells me they wouldn’t appreciate that at the office. So I’m thinking either auburn or a richer, darker brown.
I think there’s also something with the change of the seasons that prompts me to want to change my hair color; I tend to go lighter in the spring and darker in the autumn. So I think I’m overdue for a dark ‘do.
Have you dyed or restyled your hair lately?

Hello, lovelies! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
I’ve been having a very laid back weekend so far. I explored a few thrift shops this morning but came up empty-handed. (*sigh*) I grabbed a pumpkin spice latte (YUM!). I did a little cleaning and made spaghetti for dinner, which resulted in a pasta-flinging fight between me and the Mister. (Too fun!!)
Mike helped me carry a few things to the basement, including my folding cutting table. So I went ahead and set up my sewing machine and arranged my thread in the holder on the wall. My office/craft room is slowly coming together!
I’m hoping to find a nice pajama pattern so I can start making some flannel p.j.’s for Benny for Christmas gifts
How are you spending your weekend?
