We had an indoor picnic at my parents’ house on the 4th of July. My mom makes wicked macaroni salad!

The bowling trend continues. Mike and I decided to go bowling last Friday night. I was shocked that they actually had size 15 bowling shoes for him!!
We played 3 games. I didn’t have a single game under 100, so I’m improving! I won the first game and Mike won the second and third.

On Saturday we had a graduation party for one of my cousins. We had Benny for the day so he came along and my family was super happy to see him!

Of course, when we came home, we had to make some time for iPad games (still hooked on Monkey Preschool Lunchbox — anyone have other recommendations?)

In case you missed it, my dad and I went bowling last Saturday for Father’s Day…
I don’t think I posted that pic of our scores. (“M” is for Mandi, “B” is for Bob – my dad.) Clearly my dad kicks butt, and I stink, but I was super proud of breaking 100 for the first time ever!!
I wore my Hive and Honey fascinator (made by the lovely Kaelah) to work last week. I just love it and I got a lot of compliments on it! I need to get some better pictures of it, but my bangs need cut and have been not cooperating at all lately! (I’ve been giving up and wearing them pinned back a lot lately.)
Apparently I like taking pictures of food. (Left: baked chicken for dinner the other night / Right: whale crackers, which are like knock-off goldfish crackers, but better!)
I saved the best for last …

Left: Benny insisted on helping me wash the windows. (Don’t worry, I carefully supervised his use of the glass-cleaner!)

My obsession with knitting dish cloths continues. I went and got even more dish cloth cotton the other day and I’m still knitting away on them. I have 10-bazillion other more interesting and complex knitting projects started (a cute summery cotton cardigan with lace detail, socks of all sorts in hand-dyed wools, etc.) … yet I can’t seem to stop myself from playing around with colorful ombre dish cloth cotton and simple garter stitch!
Left: I was in the McDonald’s drive-thru (I’m a little hooked on their caramel frappes at the moment) and saw this shrub that made me think of a Mickey Mouse topiary. Unintentional, I’m sure.
Right: Gracie and Stuart laying in the direct path of the window A/C unit. They know how to keep cool!
