I’ve been listening to a lot of She & Him lately on Spotify. Apparently Zooey Deschanel has taken over my brain as a result because I decided earlier today that I needed bangs, like right away. Like most times when I have crazy whims, I went for it.
I’m loving bangs a little too much. I keep shaking my head to toss them back and forth. The hair stylist was smiling and laughing at me because she could tell I loved the cut so much.

Truth is, I’ve been wanting to try this type of bang-cut for quite some time, and not just because of my love for Zooey Deschanel. (Which, incidentally, has anyone seen her new Fox show New Girl? I haven’t yet but I think I’m going to watch it online later tonight.)
I also love this style of bangs on Elsie and Leigh-Ann just to name a couple others! I’ve just never been brave enough to try it because I was afraid I’d look like second-grade-Mandi (who then spelled her name with a “y”, actually). But I decided to take a chance and I’m kind of totally loving it.
I didn’t mention to Mike that I was getting my hair cut. I’m kind of anxious to hear what he thinks when he gets home!
